Between the two, a window and a table edge form the fixed frame of life passing by inside and outside: the seasons, the light, the colours, like a child's daily life through their leisure activities, meals, moods...

Bernadette Gervais uses various techniques such as stencils and engraving, adapted to the concept of each of her books. She published more than a hundred children’s books, among which ABC de la nature published by éditions des Grandes Personnes which was awarded the pépite d’or by the Salon du livre et de la presse jeunesse de Montreuil. She lives in Brussels.
