A new series of irresistible word books exploring familiar universes, starting with the sea and nature.

Janik Coat takes toddlers into a graphic stroll in their familiar universes. One image, one word: each book mixes objects, characters, animals, plants, landscapes, tales… Some elements, placed next to each other on the same spread, create a game of comparison: what do the hot-air balloon and the toucan have in common? They both fly!

The author and illustrator

Janik Coat is a graduate from the Beaux-arts of Nantes. She has been working as a graphic designer since 1999 and also writes and illustrates books since 2005. She has published around 15 books translated into several languages. In her work she likes to mix traditional and digital images, and she mainly plays with shapes and colours. She lives in Nantes.
