The Ultimate Wordbook of a Modern House
Clémence Paldacci

Four children, one grandmother, fourteen animals, two neighbours, thousands of everyday objects, 1,699 words to name everything in the house, hours and hours of shared reading!

A house, filled with objects and inhabited by a funny and endearing team, unfolds the universe of each room in captioned panels. These scenes display a precise and nuanced vocabulary, a fundamental tool for enlightened thinking and communication – even when describing things as trivial as a toilet seat... With imagination and humour, Clémence Paldacci revisits and updates the classic word books that marked her childhood. In this picture book, we repair our bikes by following tutorials, grandma is never far from her fluorescent smartphone, but we also find VHS tapes in the attic... A crazy, reference-filled journey to share with the family!
